The willingness for continual improvement and commitment to a balance in our work lives
are at the heart of the sanlok symbol and Sanlok Systems.
The philosophies and attitudes of being at the beginning or bottom, always
ready for improvement and steady work relationships are very healthy for
individuals and organizations alike.
Developed in 1972 as a personal philosophy, the calligraphic symbol of our company represents a person
walking on a path at the foot of a mountain. The use of the dolphin and the yin and yang symbols
represent the playful yet serious and balanced approach to our work environment.
The Korean word "sanlok" means "foot of the
mountain". This is consistent with the Japanese word "kaizen" which in business is
recently interpreted as "continuous quality improvement". Steady and sustainable teamwork
that results from "harmonious working relationships" is the concept behind the Chinese
word "he".
