Details about this site

This second website of our company was released in May 2002. We have had web presence since 1998.

This site is designed (from scratch), implemented and maintained by Radu Filip. Please refer to his website for details regarding his webdesign abilities.

Technical details

This site was entirely created using only GNU software (free software). Source code was written using text editors while graphics were created using GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program). As developing platform we used a Linux operating system on an Intel based desktop computer. No visual tools were used.

Every page is dynamically generated using PHP server-side scripting language. The site has a modular internal architecture, which make it extremely flexible and easy to manage.

The following technologies are used:

• Linux operating system
• Apache Web Server (version 1.3)
• XHTML 1.0
• PHP server-side scripting language (version 4)

During development, we used Lynx, a text-based browser, to test this site. Pages was tested for correct rendering using following web browsers:

• Netscape Navigator 6.x/7.x (Linux, Windows)
• KDE Konqueror 3.x (Linux)
• Lynx (Linux)
• Internet Explorer 5.x/6.x (Windows)

Because the content of the pages (including site menu) is not displayed using a clinet-side scripting language (like JavaScript), any web browser that conforms to HTML 4 specifications should render this site.

Site is best visible using resolution at least 800x600 (1024x768 recomended), and a color depth at least 16 bpp (65,535 colors).
